Engineering Services:
Tallahassee Regional Airport: Morris Allen & Associates, Inc. is proud to convey to our clients and potential clients that we have provided Geotechnical, Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) and RPR services for a varity of prime contractors regarding new construction projects at the Tallahassee Regional Airport since 2003. Projects include Commercial Runway & Taxiway Stormwater Management, North & South Apron, Sierra & Zulu and connectors, Taxiway "M" Bypass, and Air Cargo Facility. MAA continues to provide these on-going geotechnical, CEI, and RPR services to date.
Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Regional Airport, Eglin Air Force Base, FL: Provided geotechnical services. Performed borings, cores, infiltrationn tests, lab and evaluation for Rental Car Facility Project at airport (June 2005).
Lake Munson Dam Project: Morris Allen & Associates provided the full range of geotechnical services on this project due to difficult locations of various tests that were required both on land and water (June 2007).
Lake Heritage Dam Project: Morris Allen & Associates provided the full range of geothechnical services on this project.
City of Tallahassee: Monitoring MBE Participation in the City of Tallahassee wide Construction Contracts. On-Site monitoring to verify that MBE Contractors are performing as stipulated under their contractual agreements with both the City of Tallahassee and the General Contractors. These elements include, but are not limited to, verifying that the MBE contractor or subcontractor is supplying the contracted personnel, materials, and equipment necessary under the contract. Information Technology Services:
Joint Dispatch Consolidation Plan Report relating to Information Technology for the City of Tallahassee and Leon County Florida (Feb 2007)
As a subcontractor to Winbourne & Costas, Inc., Morris Allen & Associates provided a complete inventory and description of the City and County of Tallahassee existing systems and business processes, and a list of interfaces. This was a large undertaking. Systems and inventory included the follows: Computer Aided Dispatch Systems (CAD) ; Automatic Vehicle Locating Systems and integration with CAD ; Records Management Systems (RMS); Mobile Data Computer Systems (MDCS); E 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone Number Systems; Fire Station Alerting Systems Non-Emergency, Administrative Telephone Systems; Local and Wide Area Networks; Wireless Local Area Networks; Facility power and backup power requirements; Uninterruptible Power Supplies systems (UPS); Generator Systems; Computer Telephony Integration; Logging and Recording; TDD; GIS; Interfaces, that included Florida-specific criminal information systems and Records Management Systems. We also evaluated IT management and support roles and responsibilities of technical personnel.
Morris Allen & Associates provided a GAP Analysis Report that entailed an evaluation of the functional requirements relative to the existing PSAPs’ information technology infrastructure and identification of gaps and requirements for enhancements or modifications to support the planned consolidated public safety environment. This analysis involved evaluating technical support personnel, and the operational environment at each PSAP. Morris Allen defined solutions to mitigated the gaps identified, provided recommended solutions, and define the IT component of the design architecture. The gap analysis also included identifying barriers for data sharing/interoperability; IT protocols and standards; Operational flexibility to support consolidation or co location options; Security issues; Reliability of critical systems and data; Hardware/software specifications required for new application implementation; Maintenance procedures for interagency systems; Security issues related to HIPPA as applicable; Business continuity and disaster recovery plan; County/City Networking Environments; County/City Enterprise Data Communications Network; County/City PSAP Network Environment; County/City Enterprise Information Technology Standards; Maintenance and Service Agreements for each system, and Technical Support Personnel capabilities.
Lastly, Morris Allen & Associates prepared an “Implementation Plan” and timeline for the consolidation of all the key technology areas for the City and County of Tallahassee as well as identified contracting, risk and operations impacts. Morris Allen & Associates identified and defined tasks necessary for acquisition, development, integration, and implementation of the IT components into the consolidated public safety environment.
